Name
Dear
Naive KIA recruit, Romeyo Jordan, never believed in the existence of a thin line between brotherhood and enmity…until his roommate and fellow Intelligence Operative, Drey Kirill, goes on a shooting spree, and Romeyo’s girlfriend is killed in the crossfire. Romeyo unleashes his feral instinct, converts the thin line into a battle line, and lights a torch that’s fueled by vengeance, declaring the beginning of the cat and mouse games.

Death Row Hero chronicles Romeyo’s transformation from a loveable romantic into a savage beast, after he bids adieu to Juliet, his childhood friend, and leaves his aunt’s home in Houston, to join a military college in Silver City, Nevada. He dreams of following the flight pattern of his grandfather, who was a heavily-decorated ace pilot. That dream becomes a nightmare, as the flight through freshman year at Silver City College isn’t as smooth as Romeyo. He is persuaded by his fourth-year roommate, Drey, to join the KIA, a student unit of an elite, anti-terrorist group called the Multinational Intelligence Agency—MIA.

On the coldest winter day of Drey’s life, he receives the chilling news of his father’s death and travels back home to Washington D.C. for the funeral, only to discover a more ominous plot, linking the United States’ Secretary of defense, to the murder of his father, who was the Secretary of defense’s deputy. Drey drives past the bridge of sanity, towards his waterloo, when he goes el pollo loco and guns down his father’s alleged murderer. The hugely televised, live shooting, leads to him becoming the MIA’s most wanted fugitive.

Time sprints by, and The MIA is forced to seek The KIA’s assistance into the case, as their attempts to hunt down Drey before Christmas, prove futile. The KIA director, Colonel Leo Galileo, knows that the perfect Operative for the hunt is the one hero among the KIA’s chosen twelve, who knew Drey best…his closest friend and roommate, Romeyo. It will take the flight of piglets, the death of his girlfriend, Juliet Wellington—Jewel—and mysterious text messages from a renegade Agent hiding within the shadows of the KIA and MIA, to convince Romeyo to lead the hunt for the luck-repellent Drey, who is inadvertently driven by the renegade Agent, to drain Juliet’s life-battery.

Now, a paragraph about me…My experience from writing humorous and tragic short stories for the University I attend, paved the way for the development of Death Row Hero, which is a thriller, hiding within the shadows of military-espionage, with a secondary sci-fi mission objective. The story is narrated by the slightly quirky, Greek God—Pathos. He has a tragic past that influenced his dark sense of humor, scattered throughout the 100,000-word novel. Romeyo and Drey, in reality, are based on Pathos’ multi-layered personality, which is enclosed within a thick skin of metaphors. Pathos is the Godly personification of emotional conflicts, as his name implies. I will be glad to send you a more detailed synopsis and chapters from the manuscript—upon request.
